Getting in and out of the High Desert is going to get much worse, before it gets better, thanks to the upcoming closures and detours associated with the Eastlake Boulevard ‘Phase 1’ widening project.
Starting Monday, May 7, motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes and plan for additional time to reach their destinations. For the public and the construction workers’ safety, motorists are also reminded to obey all traffic signs.
The exact locations will be Northbound and Southbound Eastlake and will feature temporary Lane Closures from Rojas intersection to Lanner. This work is in addition to the work already being performed on Eastlake, from Darrington south to Emerald Park.
Once complete, Eastlake will resemble the newly completed stretch from Kenazo to Horizon Boulevard that just opened in April.
