Two-time high jump state qualifier, Emilio Rios, is taking his talents to the University of Texas at El Paso.
Rios will sign his national letter of intent with the university at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017 in the high school gym foyer.
The senior athlete has won the District 2-5A championship and placed at the regional meet two years in a row. Rios competed at the state meet his sophomore and junior seasons.
He is ranked as the No. 2 high jumper in Texas for 2018. His highest jump last season was 6’10.
Track and field is not his only sport. Rios was also a wide receiver the last two years on the Falcon football team.
