Horizon City Police Department’s Weekly Blotter: January 14 through 20

January 19th: No Arrests

0813 14300th block of Venecia, Officers responded to a residential alarm, Officers checked the home and determined a false alarm.

0829 14600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers located a person wanted by the Horizon City Municipal Court. Officers presented the driver to the municipal court where the driver was released upon posting bond.

0931 14300th block of Venecia, at the same location as before, this time, Officers were able to meet with the homeowner.

0937 Officers located a person wanted by the Horizon City Municipal Court during a traffic stop in the area of Antwerp & Teichelkamp. Officers presented the driver to the municipal court where the driver was released upon posting bond.

0949 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a city ordinance violation complaint.

0958 14600th block of Canario, Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the animal as described.

1606 15400th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers located a person wanted by the Horizon City Municipal Court. Officers presented the driver to the municipal court where the driver was released upon posting bond.

1704 600th block of Villa Victoria, Offices responded to a complaint of theft. Officers conducted investigation and generated a report.

1710 14200th block of Desert Cloud, Officers responded to a mental/ emotional health crisis. Officers were able to deescalate the situation and conducted an emergency detention for mental/ emotional health evaluation. The person was transported to a medical facility.

1808 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a Child Custody complaint. Officers provided information.

2013 14000th block of Glenosa, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the home and determined a false alarm.

2259 Officers checked seemingly inebriated person in the area of Antwerp & Danube. Further investigation determined they were intoxicated. The person was charged with public intoxication and was released to a responsible person.

2319 14700th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers located a person wanted by the Horizon City Municipal Court. Officers presented the driver to the municipal court where the driver was released upon posting bond.

0019 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers were able to return found property which had been turned in to the rightful owner.

0014 Officers responded to a noise complaint at the 100th block of Lago Grande. Officers met with the homeowner and issued a warning.

0058 14300th block of Rudy Kuefner, Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call. Officers checked the area but were not able to locate anyone in distress.

0316 400th block fo Amalia, Officers delivered a notification on behalf of the El Paso Police Department.

January 18th: Two Arrests

0711 Officers responded to a residential alarm in the 700th block of Villa Romero. Officers checked the residence and determined a false alarm.
1014 Officers responded to a report of a brush fire in the area of Ascension & Horizon Blvd. HCFD responded and handled the incident.
1033 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received a request to place a residence on the vacation watchlist.
1104 Officers responded to a residential alarm at the 14500th block of Puerto Del Carmen. Officers checked the residence and determined a false alarm.
1123 Officers assisted a stranded motorist at the 100th block of S. Darrington.
1627 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a possible attempt at a scam allegedly involving an in-state law enforcement agency. Officers were able to verify that the contact was legitimate and did originate from a law enforcement agency.
1647 Officers responded to a minor motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported to or observed by officers.
1753 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received 5 referrals from Horizon City Municipal Court. 5 people were detained during Municipal Court session for traffic warrants. Three people were able to post bond and were released. Two people did not post bond and were booked into El Paso County Detention Facility.
1924 14500th block of Escalera, Officers received information regarding the possible whereabouts of a runaway juvenile.
2023 16000th block of Darley, Officers responded to a report of Burglary of Habitation in progress. Officers checked the home and determined no burglary had taken place.
2105 14500th block of Escalera. Officers met with the parent of the missing juvenile.
2124 14000th block of Cow Tongue, Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle. Officers located and checked on a vehicle as described and determined no illegal activity.
2203 800th block of S. Darrington Rd. Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a vehicle as described.
2213 700th block of Danube, Officers responded to a civil contention between landlord and tenant.
2249 13600th block of Eastlake Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of a hit and run crash. Officers determined the collision took place outside city limits and referred the incident to El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
2300 13600th block of Eastlake, Officers responded to a complaint of a fight in progress. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the brawl as described.
0023 14000th block of Cow Tongue, Officers responded to a complaint of a prowler. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate activities as described.
0120 600th block of Orchid. Officers checked a suspicious vehicle and issued the driver a citation.
0135 14100th block of Ghost Flower, Officers checked on a vehicle and issued a citation.
0142 200th block of Desert Breeze, Officers checked on a vehicle and issued a citation.
0339 600th block of Darrington Rd., Officers checked on a vehicle and determined no illegal activity.

January 17th: One Arrest

0620 While conducting residential patrol, Officers located a vehicle suspected of leaving the scene of an accident last night. The Officers were able to identify the vehicle and driver and also discovered physical evidence indicating the vehicle as the one that left the scene. Officers will provide the information to investigators already developing the case.
0631 300th block of S.Darrington Rd., Officers received information on an ongoing investigation.
0736 800th block fo Nazareno, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the residence and determined a false alarm.
1031 700th block of Romero, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the residence and determined a false alarm.
1136 While conducting residential patrol, Officers checked on a suspicious person at the 14000th block of Narciso. Officers determined no illegal activity.
1435 14300th block of Desierto Bonito, Officers responded to a complaint of criminal trespass. Officers met with the suspect and comlainant and determined no trespass had taken place. Officers asked parties to separate for the day.
1449 14400th block of Golden Eagle Dr., Officers responded to a complaint of a stolen iPod. Officers conducted investigation and generated a police report.
1653 300th block of Barrel Cactus, Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the animal as described.
1710 14300th block of Lago Di Como, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the residence and determined a false alarm.
1735 14300th block of Antwerp, Officers responded to information regarding the return of a missing juvenile. Officers verified that the juvenile returned without injury or illness.
2015 13600th block of Eastlake, Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash. Officers determined the collision took place outside the city limits. Officers referred the crash to El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
2021 14200th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a commercial alarm. Officers checked the establishment and determined false alarm.
2230 14700th block of Cactus View, Officers responded to a complaint of child’s conduct. Officers provided information to the parent and child.
0028 Officers charged a driver with DWI during a traffic stop in the area of Rodman & Venny Webb. Officers booked the driver into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
2232 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a complaint of theft of a trailer. Officers generated a police report.
0054 14400th block of Desert Sage, Officers conducted a personal safety & wellness check. Officers met with the person in question and determined no need for emergency intervention.

January 16th: No Arrests

0915 15ooth block of Pawling, Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call. Officers determined no emergency.
0915 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a civil contention. A homeowner had complaints against a contractor. Officers provided information.
0950 100th block of Sahuaro, Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle as described.
1107 15000th block of N. Darrington Rd., Officers responded to a complaint of illegal dumping. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate activity as described.
1149 500th block of S. Darrington Rd., Officers responded to a request for motorist assistance in removing a stalled vehicle from the roadway.
1201 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received a report of a stolen vehicle. Further investigation determined the possession of the vehicle was subject to a previous arrangement between two parties and that the dispute had to be resolved in civil court. Officers provided information .
1221 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a request for a civil escort to the 13800th Hollywood.
1330 14300th block of Desert Sage, Officers observed a home with an open door. Officers checked the residence and were able to secure it after determining that there were no signs of a break in.
1314 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash which had occurred previously. Officers issued CR-2 forms.
1448 14500th block of Puerto Del Carmen, Officers responded to a residential fire alarm. Officers checked the home and determined a false alarm.
1528 300th block of Bain, Officers responded to a complaint of a loose animal. Offices located a duck and contained the bird.
1553 13900th block of Desert Song, Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog, Officers attempted, but were unable to contain the animal.
1800 300th block of Duanesburg, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the home and determined a false alarm.
1813 Officers responded to a complaint of a hazard on the road in the area of Darrington & Rudi Kuefner. Officers checked the area and determined that the traffic jam was a result of road construction.
1851 14500th block of Escalera, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the home and determined a false alarm.
1852 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers answered general questions about domestic violence.
1907 Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Darrington & Horizon Blvd., Officers investigated the collision and generated a CR-3 crash report.
1948 400th block of Roslyn, Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the animal as described.
2118 400th block of Hollywood, Officers assisted ambulance and fire crews with a medical emergency.
2246 Officers responded to a hit and run crash in the area of S. Kenazo & Darrington Rd. Officers investigated the collision and generated a police report.
2211 600th block of Danube, Officers responded to a fire alarm at one of the apartments in the complex. Offices checked the residence and determined a false alarm.
0329 Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Horizon Blvd. & Ascension. Officers checked the vehicle and occupants and determined that the motorist was out of fuel and already had a person bringing a few emergency gallons.
0439 700th block of Villa Romero, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the home and determined false alarm.

January 15th: No Arrests

1015 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers met with a member of the community who wished to turn in a found wallet. Officers obtained the wallet and generated a report.
1110 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a civil contention between a tenant and landlord. Officers provided information.
1212 Officers responded to a complaint of theft at the 100th block of N. Kenazo Ave. Officers generated a police report.
1554 500th block of Darrington Rd., Officers responded to a single vehicle crash. The car struck a TXDOT sign. Officers documented the collision and issued a citation.
1627 100th block of Desert Mesa, Officers responded to a complaint of a dog bite. Officers conducted investigation and determined no bite took place. Officers cited the dog owner for failing to restrain the animal.
1718 600th block of Valle De Bravo, Officers responded to a request for emergency vehicle lock-out assistance.
1802 14700th block of Cactus Ridge, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers were cancelled by the alarm company during response.
1811 14200th block of Desert Sage, Officers responded to a child custody dispute. Officers provided information.
1832 Officers responded to a complaint of a missing juvenile in the 14300th block of Antwerp. Officers initiated investigation and generated a police report.
1929 14600th block of Alcon, Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle causing a disturbance. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a vehicle as described.
1939 300th block of Crocker, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance possibly involving an assault. Officers investigated and determined the extent of the incident to be verbal in nature. Officers asked those involved to separate for the day to cool off.
1950 Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Darrington & Pawling.
2022 400th block of Las Palomas, Officers located the vehicle from the vehicle causing a disturbance and issued a warning.
2037 14500th block of Desierto Bello, Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog. Officers were able to contain the animal and held it for El Paso County Animal Control.
2008 14200th block of Desert Orchid, Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a vehicle as described.
1903 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a complaint of terroristic threat. Officers determined no threats had occurred and provided information.
2228 Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the area of Darrington & Eastlake. Officers investigation revealed the extent of the altercation was verbal in nature. Parties involved were asked to separate.
0108 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a complaint of theft. The person making the complaint would return later with more information about the property which had been stolen.

January 14th: Three Arrests

1110 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information regarding concerns about narcotics.
1116 Officers located a person wanted by Horizon City Municipal Court during a traffic stop in the area of S. Darrington Rd. & Valentin Dr. Officers booked the person into the El Paso County Jail.
1446 14600th block of Peter Noyes, Officers responded to a residential panic alarm. Officers checked on the home and occupants and determined a false alarm.
1503 700th block of Danube, Officers responded to a minor emergency. An infant was accidentally locked inside a vehicle. Officers provided emergency vehicle lockout services.
1519 14600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call. Officers checked on the building occupants and determined false alarm.
1601 14100th block of Peter Noyes, Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle causing a disturbance. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a vehicle as described.
1722 13800th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of a person using narcotics in the parking lot of a shopping center. Officers checked the area and made contact with an individual in a vehicle matching description. Officers were able to establish probable cause for a search and located narcotics in the vehicle. Officers placed the person under arrest and booked the person into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
1748 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of theft at the Wal-Mart. Officers were notified that a male had allegedly stolen merchandise and had ran into the desert area behind the store. Officers checked the area and located the suspect. The suspect was charged with theft and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
1810 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a civil contention. A female wished to return a vehicle belonging to a former suitor. Officers witnessed the return of the vehicle which appeared to be in working condition.
1824 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a request for vehicle lock out. The owner of the vehicle was able to unlock it before Officer’s arrival.
1942 14200th block of Desert Sky, Officers responded to a complaint of fireworks being used in the area. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate activity as described.
2127 500th block of Lauren, Officers responded to a request for a personal safety/ wellness check. Officers checked the residence and the person in question and determined no need for emergency intervention.
2232 14700th block of Summit Breeze, Officers responded to a third party report of a person undergoing a mental/ emotional health crisis. Officers checked on the person in question and determined that they were not a danger to themselves or others, emergency detention was not necessary.
2255 100th block of N. Kenazo Ave., Officers responded to a commercial alarm. Officers checked on the business establishment and determined a false alarm.
2312 14400th block of Golden Eagle, Officers checked on a vehicle in the park after hours. Officers determined the vehicle and occupants and determined no illegal activity. Officers notified the driver and passenger that city parks close after 11pm.
0234 Officers responded to a loud music complaint at the 14000th block of Highweed. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the noise disturbance.
