The men and women of the Horizon City Police Department once again kept our home safe and sound; check out their action in this week’s police blotter.
August 13: No Report Yet
August 12: No Arrests
An alarm call was reported in the area of Desert Orchid and Desert Spring. Officers responded and were able to make contact with home owner, call was reference to a false alarm.
Officers along with Life Ambulance and Horizon Fire Department were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Accident in the 14470 block of Horizon. Units arrived on scene no injuries were found and officers were able to generate a full report.
There was a walk-in in the HCPD station reference theft. Officer responded to the call and was able to get necessary information to complete a report.
August 11: Two Arrests
A motor vehicle accident was reported in the area of Eastlake and Horizon involving two vehicles. Officers and first responders arrived and checked for injuries. A report was generated and no patients were transported.
Officers responded to the area of 400 Las Palomas in reference to criminal mischief. The reporting party advised of damage done to their residence. Officers gathered information and a report was generated.
One person was arrested following a traffic stop near 14000 Darrington. Officers checked one subject who came back wanted with our agency. The subject was arrested and processed and later booked into the jail annex.
Units responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of N Kenazo and Horizon. First responders assessed patients for injuries and one person was transported to a local hospital. Officers closed off lanes of traffic until a wrecker was available to help clear the scene.
A second subject was arrested following a traffic stop at 13931 Veny Webb. The subject was wanted out of Horizon City Municipal Court. Officers arrested and processed the subject and was later booked into the downtown jail.
We recieved a call in reference to a noise disturbance in the area of 14000 Warren Belin. Officers arrived to a large party and several subjects were cited on scene. Other subjects were detained and released to responsible parties and the party was disbanded.
August 10: Two Arrests
Officers were dispatched to 500 S. Darrington to a motor vehicle accident. Vehicle was not blocking traffic and no medical attention was needed. Officers generated a report and cleared the scene.
A call was made to the Horizon City Police Department in reference to a subject disturbance outside the 7-11. Officers arrived to speak to both parties involved and both parties were advised.
Officers responded to Walmart in reference to theft. Officers gathered all the information and arrested the subject. A report was generated and then later subject was released.
Officers patrolled the area of Rodman and Veny Webb and spotted two suspicious vehicles. Officers stopped to check the subjects and the vehicles, all subjects and vehicles checked okay and were advised to leave the area.
August 9: No Arrests
An alarm call was reported in the 100 block of N Kenazo. Officers arrived on scene and checked the area, everything checked okay call was reference to a false alarm.
In the area of Desert Sage and Desert Spring a vehicle disturbance was reported. Officers were able to locate vehicle subject was later released to responsible party.
A noise disturbance was reported in the 440 block of Von Bargen. Officers checked the area, area checked okay also made contact with reporting party who was advised.
August 8: No Arrests
While patrolling the 14400 block of Desert Sage, officers noticed an open garage door of a house. The officers made contact with the home owner, everything checked okay and the home owners were advised.
HCPD received a call reference to a residential alarm in the 14200 block of Desert Mesquite. The officers arrived and checked the residence. The home owner arrived and met with HCPD officers. The residence was found to be secure and checked okay.
Officers responded to a Motor vehicle accident out at the 100 block of Kenazo Ave. Upon investigation, the officers determined that the passengers had no injuries and issued blue forms to the involved parties. Both parties were advised and the officers cleared the scene.
A vehicle disturbance was reported in the area of Desierto Bonito and Venecia. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle, however officers were unable to locate. They checked the rest of the area and checked okay.
At the 16000 block of Darrington Rd, our officers responded to a medical call to assist HCFD and Life ambulance. Our officers assisted with the patient and was transported to a local hospital.
August 7: Three Arrests
Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of south Darrington. The driver was found to be wanted out of our department. The subject was booked into county jail.
A subject was arrested following a traffic stop in the area of Elsworth and Horizon BLVD. The subject was found to be wanted out of HCPD. The subject was booked into county jail.
HCPD received a call from Socorro PD in reference to them having a subject in their custody that was found to be wanted out of our department. Horizon City Police officers picked up the wanted subject and was booked into county jail.
HCPD received an alarm call in the 14000 block of Horizon Blvd. Officers responded to the address and checked the business. The responding officers made contact with an employee and was determined to be a false alarm. The officers cleared the scene.
August 6: No Arrest
In the area of Warren Belin and De Palma a noise disturbance was reported. Officers arrived on scene and were able to locate the party, party was dispersed and units cleared shorty after.
A domestic verbal was reported in the area of Horizon and Thea smith. Officers made contact with both parties, parties were advised and separated.
In the 14100 block of horizon a subject disturbance was reported. Officers were dispatched and checked the area, area checked okay and officers were unable to locate the subject.
One subject was arrested after an officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Darrington and Nunda. Subject was found with possession of narcotics and was later booked into the county jail.
