As we rapidly close in on the end of September, the men and women of the Horizon City Police Department continue their sworn duty to keep the residents of our community safe and sound.

September 24: No Report Yet
September 23: Two Arrests
A suspicious subject call was made in the area of Loring and Roslyn. The reporting party advised of a suspicious male standing in the middle of the street. RP was concerned and requested an officer to check on the male subject. The officers responded to the call and met with the subject. While checking the subject, the officer’s located drug paraphernalia from the male subject’s person. The subject was then arrested, processed and booked into the El Paso County Jail.
A concerned caller made a report of a male subject in the area of Warren Belin and Rodman. The officers responded to the call and were able to locate the subject. The subject was found highly intoxicated. The subject was cited for Public Intoxication and was released to a responsible party.
A residential alarm call was made in the 100 block of Lago Seco. The officers responded to the residence and made contact with the home owner. The officers determined the alarm to be a false residential alarm.
While conducting a traffic stop, an officer came upon a wanted subject with Horizon City Municipal Court for traffic warrants. The subject was then processed and booked into the El Paso County jail.
A verbal domestic call was made at the 14000 block of Canario. The officers arrived on scene and met with both parties. Both parties were separated and advised accordingly.
September 22: One Arrest
Officers responded out at 300 block of Barrel Cactus reference subject disturbance. Upon arrival subject was gone. Officers spoke to home owner and obtain information no report was generated.
A call was received out on the 14000 block of Horizon regarding domestic verbal. Our officers went out and met with the reporting party. Units gathered information and parties were separated and advised accordingly.
Officers responded to an alarm call in the block of 14000 Desierto Bueno. Officers check the area and determined the call was reference false alarm.
A call was received reference subject disturbance out on the 14000 block of Horizon. Officers met with all parties involved and obtain information. Parties were advised accordingly.
Officers were dispatched out at 13900 block of Veny Webb in reference to vehicle disturbance. Officers met with the registered owner and the area check okay.
A call was received out on the 14000 block of Horizon reference drunk disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and were able to contain male subject. One subject was arrested for public intoxication then later released to responsible party.
Officers were dispatch to a subject disturbance out at 13900 Horizon at Walmart. Units made contact with subjects and advise them to leave the area.
September 21: One Arrest
A hit and run was reported at 494 Kenazo. Reporting party provided vehicle description of the vehicle that fled the scene. Officers were able to locate and stop vehicle, no injuries were sustained patient refused medical treatment and a report was generated.
Officer responded to a domestic call in the 600 block of Desert Sage. Upon their arrival officers met with both parties involved and one subject was transported by the officers to a local hospital for a medical evaluation. Subject was released to medical staff and a report was generated.
A vehicle was reported to be driving on the wrong side of the street at 14650 Horizon. Officers conducted a traffic stop with the description of vehicle given by reporting party. Officers conducted field sobriety test on the driver, driver was arrested then later booked at the downtown jail.
A motor vehicle accident was reported at 12556 Weaver. Officers arrived to an 18 wheeler that back up and hit a vehicle, no injuries were sustained both parties were advised and blue forms were issued based on the damage.
Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of Barrel Cactus reference to a domestic call. Officers arrived and met with both parties, male half agreed to leave for the night. Officers separated and advised both parties.
September 20: Two Arrests
A noise disturbance was reported in the area of Desierto Lindo and Desierto Bonito. Officers made contact and advised accordingly in reference to the loud music.
A citizen made contact with a police officer at the station in reference to fraud. A case number was issued and a report was generated.
Units were called out to the 14200 block of Desert Fire in reference to a theft information call. Upon arrival, responding officer met with reporting party. Information was received, a case number was issued, and a report was generated.
A domestic call was reported in the 14500 block of Desierto Bello. Upon arrival, officers met with both parties and a case number for family violence was issued. One subject was arrested and transported to the station for processing. The subject was then transported and booked into the downtown jail facility.
Officers assisted with traffic control in the area of Ashford and Ryderwood for the SISD parade.
Units responded to the 14500 block of Cabana in reference to criminal mischief. Officers met with all parties involved and were advised accordingly.
Officers were called to the area of Corby and Nazareno in reference to a subject who made terroristic threats. Units were unable to locate subject. An additional call prompted units to return to the area where the subject was located. The subject was arrested, a case number was issued, a report was generated, and the subject was transported to the station before being booked at the downtown jail facility.
A vehicle was reported stolen from the 14200 block of Desert Point Drive. Officers met with reporting party who was unable to provide enough information on vehicle in order to generate a report. Reporting party was advised to call back when necessary information was obtained or to stop by the station to meet with an officer.
A fight in progress was reported in the area of Rifton and Horizon. Officers were unable to locate fight or subjects involved, as the area checked ok.
September 19: One Arrest
Officers responded to an alarm call in the 13850 block of Horizon. Upon arrival officers checked the area and determine call was reference to a false alarm.
A noise disturbance was reported in the neighborhood of Desert Wind and Desert Mist. Officers were unable to locate were the noise was coming from. The area checked okay and units cleared shorty after
A Horizon citizen made contact with an officer at the Station reference fraud. Officer obtained all the information and advised the Horizon citizen accordingly.
A walk-in was received in the Horizon City Police Department reference lost phone. Officer made contact with citizen and was able to recover lost property.
A domestic call was reported in the 660 block of Danube. Officers arrived on scene and detained one male subject. Subject was later booked in the downtown count jail and a report was generated.
Officers responded to a Theft in the area of 13650 Eastlake. Upon arrival officers made contact with reporting party and a report was generated.
September 18: No Arrests
A residential alarm was reported in the 14000 block of Summit Breeze. Officers responded quickly and met with the homeowner on scene. The call was determined to be in reference to a false alarm.
Units were dispatched to a loose K9 in the area of Highweed and Rodman. Officers were unable to locate the K9. They met with the reporting party and received information and advised accordingly.
Officers responded to a residential alarm near 700 Danube. Officers checked the residence and advised it would be a false alarm.
Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Manzanilla in reference to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Officers met with both parties and received information. The vehicle was returned and both parties were advised.
September 17: No Arrests
Officers responded out at 14200 block of Desert Sage reference noise disturbance. Officers spoke to homeowner and advised to lower the music and the area checked okay.
Units were dispatched to a noise disturbance in the 14000 block of Cow Tounge in reference to loud music in the area. The homeowner was advised to lower music and the area checked okay.
A motor vehicle accident with no injuries was reported in the area of Horizon and Eastlake. Officers arrived on scene to obtain information. A report was generated and the vehicle was released to responsible vehicle owner.
Officers responded to the sound of gunshots in the area of Kenazo and Weaver. Upon arrival, officers checked the area and advised the area checked okay.
A single-vehicle accident was reported in the 100 block of N Ascencion. Officers arrived on scene along with first responders to check for any injuries. A report was generated and vehicle was towed due to damages.
Officers responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 1400 block of Horizon. Units arrived along with first responders to check for any injuries and gathered information. No injuries were reported and a report was generated.
A motor vehicle was reported with no injuries out in the 14200 block of Ashford. Officers arrived to file a report with no injuries. Blue forms were issued and both vehicles were driven away by registered owners.
A call was received out on the 13900 block of Horizon regrading a theft. Our officers went out and met with the subject and reporting party. The reporting party was advised and a report was generated.
A burglary alarm was received out in the 14000 block of Dust Devil. Officers were dispatched and upon arrival they checked the area and secured the residence. Officers met with the home owner and advised it was in reference to a false alarm.
Officers responded to a domestic assault near 14300 Puentecillas. Units gathered information from all parties and determined the issue was verbal only. Parties were separated and advised accordingly.
A motor vehicle accident was reported with no injuries near 13900 Horizon. Officers responded and gathered information. Blue forms were issued and both vehicles were driven away by registered owners.
HCPD received a call in the area of Duanesburg and McMahon reference a domestic verbal. Officers arrived on scene and met with both parties. Both parties were separated. The officers spoke to each party and advised accordingly.
