Horizon City Police Department Blotter: Week of May 21 through 28

Holidays or not, the men and women are on duty 24/7/365 keeping all of us here in the High Desert safe and sound.  Check out what the department did last week to make sure we were all safe.

May 28th: No Arrests

In the block of 13000 Eastlake, a subject disturbance call was made at Pockets Billiards. The reporting party advised of a subject who was being verbally aggressive to customers and uncooperative with the security guards. The officers responded to the call and made contact with the subject. The subject was escorted to their residence and everything checked okay.

In the area of Manzanilla and Antwerp, a noise disturbance call was made in reference to a large party. The reporting party advised that the party was getting too loud and out of control. The reporting party also advised that party had been going on for four hours. The officers responded to the call and met with homeowner. The party was dispersed and the homeowner was advised accordingly.

A domestic issue was reported in the 300 block of Horizon View. The reporting party advised officers the subjected had been drinking the night before and was being verbally aggressive. The officers responded to the call and met with the subject. Both parties were separated and advised accordingly.

Units made contact with subjects in the area of Rudi Kuefner and South Kenazo, out in the desert. The officers met with a subject and found drug paraphernalia. The officers confiscated narcotics and cited all subjects and a report was generated.

May 27th: One Arrest

Officers observed vehicle driving the wrong way out in the area of Horizon and Elsworth. The officer conducted a traffic stop and determined the subject was intoxicated. A report was generated and subject was booked to a local jail.

A vehicle disturbance call was made in the area of 14000 Desert Sage. The reporting party advised of a vehicle traveling towards Zaragoza. Officers responded and were unable to locate the vehicle.

A domestic disturbance was made in the 14000 block of Warren Belin. Officers arrived at the scene and parties refused to separate and were advised.

Horizon Police Department units were dispatched to the area of Darrington and Eastlake reference to a motor vehicle accident. Officers arrived to a two vehicle accident. No injuries were reported. Officers generated a motor vehicle accident report and area checked okay.

Out at the area of 13658 Eastlake, at the Churches. Officers responded to a report of narcotics use in progress. Officers made contact with the subject and was released to responsible party.

A subject disturbance occurred at the block of 14000 Desert Sunset. The reporting party advised of a party and vehicles were blocking drive way. Officers arrived met with the homeowner and was advised and checked okay.

May 26th: One Arrest

Officers responded to a subject down at the wheel at the block of 14000 Horizon. Officers arrived at the scene and the subject checked okay and was advised to leave the area.

A subject disturbance occurred at the Dollar Tree on the block of 14000 Horizon. The reporting party advised of a subject causing a disturbance. The officers responded to the scene and met with both parties. Both were advised and units cleared the scene.

Officers responded to a call in reference to an infant locked in a vehicle out at 13900 Horizon, at the Walmart. Horizon Police Department and first responders assisted in unlocking vehicle and the infant checked okay.

A subject disturbance was made out at 13650 Eastlake, at Pockets. Units arrived at the scene and booked subject for public intoxication. A report was generated.

Officers responded to a theft that just occurred, out at 14476 Horizon at the Little Ceasers. State trooper requested for units to respond to four juveniles who were being detained. Units arrived at the scene and released juveniles to responsible parties.

May 25th: One Arrest

Officers responded to a burglary call in the 14000 block of Cliffrose. The reporting party advised of hearing noises on the roof. Officers met with the homeowner and a report was generated.

Officers responded to a theft in progress out at 13900 Horizon, at the Wal-Mart. The asset prevention department advised of two subjects in the electronics area. Officers arrived on scene and criminal trespass was issued for the subjects.

One subject was arrested following a motor vehicle accident in the block of 400 Kenazo at Horizon Middle School. The subject was arrested and later was released to a responsible party and a report was generated.

Units responded to a burglary of a home out at the block of 14000 Desierto Bueno. The caller reported that appliances were missing. Units arrived on scene, gathered all pertinent information and a report was generated.

A hit and run motor vehicle accident was reported out in the parking lot of Vista Market. Officers arrived at the scene and determined there were no injuries. A report was generated.

May 24th: No Arrests

In the area of 3600 Buxton, a suspicious subject was reported. The reporting party advised of a subject near the gas or electric meter. Subject was crawling fences and going around houses. Officers responded to the call and made contact with subject who turned out to a gas company worker. Officers checked the area and subject checked okay.

Officers responded to a business alarm at Long Horn Maintenance. Upon officers arrival to the scene area checked okay false alarm an ordinance form was issued.

Horizon Police and Fire Department assisted in reference to a gas leak out at 14000 Desert Wildflower. Horizon fire checked the area and gas readings, nothing showing cleared the scene checked okay.

May 23rd: No Report

May 22nd: One Arrest

A vehicle disturbance was reported in the 14000 block of Desert Fire. The reporting party advised of loud music coming from a parked vehicle nearby residence early morning. The officers responded to the call and were able to locate the vehicle and met with the subject. The officers determined the subject was intoxicated. The officers released the subject and vehicle to a responsible party.

In the area of Horizon Blvd and Darrington Rd, officers assisted a motorist with their vehicle. The officers were able to remove the vehicle from roadway. The officers advised the vehicle would be parked overnight at the city hall parking lot till morning.

One subject was arrested following a traffic stop in the area of South Darrington and Thayer Pease. The officers determined the subject had four outstanding traffic warrants with our agency. The officers processed the subject and the subject was booked into a local jail.

A subject disturbance occurred at the Walmart on Horizon Blvd. The reporting party advised several juveniles and had trespassed a work station and used the intercom system. The officers responded to the scene and met with juveniles. The juveniles were cited and then released to their responsible parties.

A verbal domestic call was made in the area of 14000 block of Las Aguilas. The reporting party advised that subject was being verbally aggressive and was possibly intoxicated. The officers responded to the call and met with reporting party and subject. All parties were separated and advised. The officers transported one subject to a safe location and advised accordingly.

May 21st: No Arrests

In the 14000 block of Desert Breeze Drive, the officers responded to a suspicious subject. The officers made contact with the subject and the subject checked okay. The officers advised the subject leave the area.

The officers responded to theft call in the area of 200 Crocker Drive. The reporting party advised the officers that their IPad was taken from their home. The officers had determined no theft had occurred and the call would be in reference to a civil issue.

A verbal domestic call was made at the Peter Piper Pizza on Horizon Blvd. The reporting party stated that subject had yelled at reporting parties children. The officers responded to the scene. Both parties were separated and advised and the area checked okay.

A criminal mischief occurred in the 500 block of Adrian. The reporting party reported that subjects were ringing the door bell, leaving the water hose on, and that side gate was open. When reporting party would check who was at the door, no one was around. The officers met with reporting party and received information and a report was generated. There will be extra patrol in the area as requested from the reporting party.

In the area of Horizon and Darrington, a vehicle disturbance call was made in reference to two vehicles speeding and road rage. One of vehicles involved called the station to make a report on the other vehicle. An officer responded to the call and met with the reporting party. The officer gathered the information and a report was generated.
