Horizon City Police Department’s Weekly Blotter: January 28 through February 4

With January done, and February upon us, the men and women of the Horizon City Police Department continued their mission to keep the entire High Desert safe and sound. For last week’s missions, read on, to view the previous week’s missions click here.

February 3rd: No Arrests

0723 200th block of Desert Breeze, Officers responded to a complaint of a missing juvenile. Officers conducted investigation and generated a police report. The juvenile runaway returned home without illness or injury soon after.

0931 14400th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the residence and determined a false alarm.

0937 Officers responded to a request for a personal safety & welness check at the 14700th block of Horizon Vista. Officers were unable to make contact with the person in question, but were able to gather some information after meeting with neighbors.

0938 Officers assisted ambulance and fire crews with a medical emergency at the 15000th block of Ashford.

0957 Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at the 300th block of Anderpont. Officers determined the incident took place outside city limits. Officers referred the incident to El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

1131 Officers respond to a civl contention between tenant and landlord at the 14300th block of Desert Shadow. Officers referred parties involved to small claims court.

1203 13600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers conducted a safety and wellness check on the staff at the hospital.

1340 Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance at the 300th block of Pete La Rue. Officers met with the person in question and asked them to leave the area.

1414 Officers were called back to the 300th block of Pete La Rue. Officers once again met with the person in question and insisted that while their presence on the street was not illegal per se, remaining in the area instigating would likely lead to criminal charges.

1516 14200th block of Desert Mesquite, Officers responded to a request for a personal safety and wellness check. Officers were met with no answer at the door. Officers did not observe any signs of distress coming from inside the home.

1627 Officers responded to a request for a personal safety & welness check at the 14700th block of Horizon Vista. Officers were able to make contact with the homeowner, however the homeowner appeared uncooperative with officers.

1658 1500th block of Wanda Wy, Officers responded to a complaint of criminal mischief. Officers took a report.

1848 Officers responded to a complaint of shots fired in the area of Desierto Linda & Escalera. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate activity as described.

2213 900th block of Soloma Pl., Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers determined the extent of the altercation was verbal in nature. Officers asked parties involved to separate for the day.

2256 13600th block of Eastlake, Officers responded to a complaint of assault and theft. Officers opened investigation and generated a police report.

2337 Officers responded to a complaint of suspicious activity in the area of Glenosa & Highweed. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the sound as described.

2343 13900th block of Horizon Blvd, Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate activity as described.

0021 Officers responded to a complaint of a disturbance in the area of Golden Eagle & Darrington. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the activity as described.

0117 14400th block of Golden Eagle, Officers responded to a complaint of burglary of building. Officers initiated investigation and generated a police report.

0310 Officers responded to a complaint of theft at the 14000th block of Horizon Blvd.

February 2nd: One Arrest

0925 13600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers conducted periodic checks on the staff at the hospital.

1135 14200th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a request for a civil escort on behalf of an ex employee in order to pick up belongings at their formal place of employment.

1146 13600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers conducted periodic checks on the staff at the hospital.

1243 Officers responded to a complaint of possible narcotics use in progress at the 100th block of N. Kenazo. Officers checked two people matching description and determined no illegal activity.

1420 3600th block of Clancey, Officers responded to a third party request for a personal safety & wellness as someone at the residence had complained about a person possibly causing a disturbance. Officers checked the area around the home and found no signs of a prowler or activities as described. Officers also made contact with the occupant at the home.

1423 14400th block of Golden Eagle Dr., Officers responded to a complaint of illegal parking. Officers checked the area and determined no illegal parking.

1430 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers collected fingerprints from a person who made such a request for background investigation purposes.

1537 1500th block of Oppossum, Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog. Officers met with the complainant who informed that they would be adopting the stray.

1539 Officers responded to a complaint of illegal parking in the area of Ryderwood & Darrington Rd. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate any illegally parked vehicles.

1605 Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance at the 13600th block of Horizon Blvd. Officers checked on the hospital staff and confirmed the person had left.

1630 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers were receiving information from a walk in when they were broken away to a residential alarm.

1635 16000th block of Darley, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the home and determined a false alarm.

1708 14100th block of Highweed, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the home and determined a false alarm.

1729 Officers responded to a minor motor vehicle crash. Investigation also revealed allegations of misdemeanor assault between the two drivers or occupants. Officers issued a class C citation respectively.

1735 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to civil contention. Officers provided information.

1742 15000th block of Nunda, Officers discovered an open door to a residence, Officers made contact with the homeowner. No break in activity had taken place.

1752 16000th block of Darley. Officers responded to a reported burglary of habitation in progress. Officers investigated and determined no burglary had taken place.

1754 200th block of Lago Grande, Officers responded to a request to assist a stranded motorist.

1840 600th block of Officers responded to a complaint of fraud. Officers attempted to create a police report but the complainant was lacking in documentation, the complainant will attempt to file a report at a later time.

1856 300th block of Barrel Cactus, Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate activities as described.

1858 700th block of Nazareno, Officers responded to a child custody dispute. Officers provided the parents with information.

1910 14100th block of DeStefano, Officers responded to request for a personal safety & wellness check. Officers met with the person in question and determined no illness or injury.

1928 14000th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a minor motor vehicle collision, drivers agreed to make arrangements between themselves.

1948 13700th block of Eastlake Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance. Officers met with the person who was released to a responsible party.

2020 700th block of Weirman, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers investigated and determined the extent of the altercation was verbal in nature. Officers asked parties involved to separate for the day in order to cool down.

2035 Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Pomeroy & Mercer. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a vehicle as described.

2146 14200th block of Desert Cloud, Officers responded to a possible domestic disturbance. Officers attempted contact with the occupants of the residence who denied any arguing or altercation.

2213 14400th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of indecent exposure. Officers conducted investigation and determined probable cause to charge the suspect and booked them into El Paso County Detention Facility.

2251 14200th block of Desert Cloud, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers determined the extent of the altercation was verbal in nature. Officers asked people involved to separate for the night.

0053 Officers assisted ambulance and fire crews with a medical emergency at the 15000th block of Ashford.

0320 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a request for a civil escort.

February 1st: One Arrest

0738 Officers assisted ambulance and fire crews with a medical emergency in the area of Loring & Roslyn.

0817 400th block of Bryce, Officers were flagged down in regards to a misplaced trash bin.

1048 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a cilvil contention between a worker and employer. Officers provided information.

1140 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a parent-child dispute over discipline. Officers provided information.

1219 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of theft. The theft was handled internally by the business. During investigation, Officers identified the suspect as wanted by Horizon City Municipal Court. The person was placed under arrest and was booked into El Paso County Detention Facility.

1745 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a juvenile going through a mental/ emotional health crisis. Officers assisted the parent in transporting the child for medical/ emotional evaluation.

1810 14300th block of Sabio, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers determined the extent of the altercation to be verbal in nature. Officers asked parties involved to separate for the day.

2210 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers conducted follow up on an ongoing case.

2320 Officers conducted a business check at the 13600th block of Horizon Blvd.

0149 600th block of Danube, Officers checked a vehicle with its alarm sounding off. Officers observed the vehicle did not appear to have been broken into but were unable to locate the owner of the vehicle.

0208 Officers checked on persons appearing suspicious at the 14400th block fo Desert Sage. Officers determined no illegal activity.

0350 Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance at the 14200th block of Desert Sky. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate activities as described.

January 31th: No Arrests

1007 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog at the 14300th block of Sebastian.

1038 Officers checked the 14300th block of Sebastian and located a small group of loose dogs. Officers attempted, but were unable to contain the animals. Officers notified El Paso County Animal Control.

1250 Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog in the area of Horizon Blvd. & Kenazo Ave. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the animal as described.

1310 14600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a request for an emergency vehicle lock-out.

1406 12500th block of Weaver Rd., Officers responded to a 911 hangup call. Officers checked on the business and employees and determined no emergency.

1447 13600th block of Horizon Blvd. Officers responded to a request for general assistance for a member of the community.

1504 14200th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a commercial alarm. Officers checked the establishment and determined a false alarm.

1718 13600th block of Eastlake Blvd., Officers located a vehicle listed as stolen by of El Paso PD. Officers conducted investigation and notified EPPD.

1800 14300th block of Desert Shadow, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers conducted investigation and determined the extent of the altercation to be verbal in nature. Officers asked parties involved to separate for the day.

1818 16000th block of Darley, Officers responded to a complaint of a missing child, the child was located soon-after.

1840 Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the area of Eastlake and Darrington. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate activities as described.

2330 Officers checked on a vehicle in the area of Lago Magiorie & Tobe Davis. Officers located drug paraphernalia and cited the driver respectively.

0030 400th block of Ghost Flower, Officers responded to a request for a personal safety and wellness check. Officers made contact with the person in question and determined no illness or injury.

0115 13200th block of Eastlake Blvd., Officers responded to a request for emergency vehicle lock-out.

0335 400th block of Von Bargen, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers determined the extent of the altercation was verbal in nature.

January 30th: No Arrests

1030 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information regarding a lost or stolen wallet.

1033 400th block of N. Kenazo, Officers respond to a commercial hold-up alarm. Officers checked the business and determined a false alarm. Officers noted there have been multiple false alarms at this business and issued a city ordinance warning.

1108 16000th block of Keno, Officers assisted ambulance and fire crews with a medical emergency.

1330 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on an allegation of burglary of vehicle.

1511 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers were flagged down regarding a domestic disturbance. Officers determined that the extent of the altercation was verbal in nature and asked parties to separate for the remainder of the day.

1542 Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog in the area of Horizon Blvd. & Ascencion. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the animal as described.

1602 14200th block of Desert Cloud, Officers responded to a complaint of ID theft. Officers determined that the incident took place outside the city limits and referred the complainant to El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

1724 100th block of S. Darrington Rd. Officers responded to a minor motor vehicle crash. Officers investigated the collision and generated a police report.

1916 14500th block of Las Aguilas, Officers responded to a parent child dispute. Officers provided both parties with information.

2317 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information regarding a domestic dispute at the 400th block of Sand Verbena. The extent of the altercation was verbal in nature. Officers provided information.

2350 14000th block of Lago Grande, Officers responded to a complaint of violation of a protective order. Officers investigated and generated a report.

2306 13600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a request for a personal safety. Officers met with the person in question and determined no need for emergency intervention.

0024 300th block of Crocker, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers determined the extent of the altercation was verbal in nature and asked parties involved to separate for the night.

0409 13600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers conducted a safety and wellness check on a pedestrian and determined no need for emergency intervention.

0455 14300th block of Las Palomas, Officers assisted a member of the community who fell inside their home.

January 29th: No Arrests

0717 14400th block of Golden Eagle, Officers located a person wanted by the Horizon City Municipal Court. The person was able to post bond and was subsequently released.

0902 14300th block of Desert Point, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the home and determined a false alarm.

0924 14200th block of Desert Sky, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers were cancelled by the alarm monitoring company as they responded.

1058 14300th block of Desert Point, Officers once again responded to a false alarm. Officers noted that components of the system could be faulty.

1713 400th block fo N. Kenazo Ave., Officers responded to a commercial panic alarm. Officers checked the establishment and determined a false alarm.

1815 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a complaint regarding a lost or possibly stolen purse. Officers generated a police report.

1935 13600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers checked on a person and determined no illegal activity.

2058 13600th block of Eastlake Blvd., Officers responded to a commercial alarm. Officers checked the business and determined false alarm.

2226 100th block of N. Kenazo Ave., Officers responded to a civil contention. Officers provided information.

0336 13600th block of Ryderwood, Officers responded to a report of a water leak at the water tower. Officers determined no signs of vandalism. Officers notified the water authority of a possible mechanical deficiency at the water tower site.

0413 14400th block of Calla Lilly, Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle fire. Officers assisted Horizon City Fire who determined the vehicle had an electrical malfunction.

January 28th: No Arrests

1030 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a request for a civil escort to the 70th block of Danube. Officers mediated the child custody dispute.

1216 14700th block of Breaux, Officers assisted ambulance and fire crews with a medical emergency.

1228 15300th block of Maribel. Officers responded to a residential fire alarm. Officers and HCFD determined false alarm.

1425 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a complaint of an unruly child. Officers provided the parent with information .

1620 14100th block of Horizon Blvd. Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog. Offices checked the area but were unable to locate an animal as described.

1649 400th block of N. Kenazo, Officers responded to a complaint of burglary of building. Officers received information.

2000 13600th block of Horizon Blvd. Officers checked for locked business doors at a shopping center.

2039 14500th block of Alcon, Officers responded to a complaint of an animal. Officers provided information.

0500 Officers responded to a commercial fire alarm at the 500th block of S. Darrington. Officers and HCFD determined false alarm.
