Horizon City Police Department’s Weekly Blotter: Week of November 12-19

Approaching the start of the Holiday Season, the men and women of the Horizon City Police Department continued their mission of keeping the High Desert safe and sound.

November 19: Report Pending

November 18: Three Arrests

0806 100th block of Biglon, Officers responded to a complaint of Criminal Mischief. Officers conducted investigation and generated a police report.

0858 14700th block of Sun View, Officers responded to a report of a suspicious subject. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate a person matching the description.

0900 At the Horizon City PD headquarters Officers received a request for a civil escort to the 200th block of Crocker.

1034 Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically in the 13000th block of Horizon Blvd. Officers checked the area but found that the vehicle had already left.

1048 15000th block of Ashford, Officers responded to a civil contention. Officers provided information.

1120 14000th block of Lago Grande, Officers assisted first responders with a medical emergency.

1512 Officers responded to a complaint of a traffic hazard in the area of the 600th block fo Orchid. Officers checked the area and removed the hazard from the roadway.

1531 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of shoplifting. Officers conducted investigation and also found probable cause to charge the alleged shoplifter with possession of marijuana. Officers prepared a misdemeanor non-arrest case which will be forwarded to the DA’s office for prosecution.

1611 Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Kenazo & Horizon Blvd. Officers checked the area and found that the vehicle had already left.

1846 600th block of Danube, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers found the home secured, false alarm.

2035 Officers responded to a theft complaint at the 13600th block of Eastlake, Officers conducted investigation and generated a police report.

2052 Officers conducted a check of a vehicle and occupants in the area of the 13600th block of Eastlake, Officers found no laws were being broken.

2132 Officers conducted a check of multiple people walking at the 200th block of Tierra Linda, Officers found no laws were being broken.

2233 Officers came across two persons wanted by the Horizon City Municipal Court during a traffic stop in the area of Darrington Rd. & Nunda. Officers placed the persons under arrest and booked them into El Paso County Detention Facility.

0342 15300th S. Kenazo, Officers responded to a complaint of loud music. Officers met with the homeowner and requested for music to stop.

November 17: Two Arrests

0725 700th block of Desert Sage, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers found the home secured, false alarm.

0837 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on attempted fraud, but the targeted victim reported the attempt without falling for the scam.

1000 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a possible protest.

1000 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on potential road hazards.

1135 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers met with a parent who was concerned that her child was acting as a bully in school, Officers spoke with the child and provided information to the parent.

1204 500th block of Nita, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers found the home secured, false alarm.

1434 400th block of Katherine, Officers responded to a complaint of fraud. Officers conducted investigation and generated a police report.

1747 13600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of aggravated assault. Officers conducted investigation and determined the incident took place in the City of El Paso, Officers referred the complainant to El Paso Police Department.

1830 14000th block of Desert Fire, Officers responded to a request for a civil escort.

1845 120th block of N. Kenazo, Officers responded to a commercial alarm. Officers found the establishment secured, false alarm.

1901 14700th block of Desert Breeze, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers conducted investigation and determined the incident to be verbal in nature.

2102 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on an allegation of theft, Officers conducted investigation and determined that the circumstances as reported were more in line with a civil contention over property. Officers provided information.

2240 14300th block of Desert Cactus, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers found the home secured, false alarm.

2319 19000th block of Darrington Rd. Officers found probable cause to search a driver and vehicle during a traffic stop and effected an arrest for possession of marijuana. Officers booked the driver into El Paso County Detention Facility.

2345 Officers found probable cause to charge a driver with Driving While Intoxicated during traffic stop in the area of Danube & Valentin. The driver was arrested and booked into El Paso County Detention Facility.

0125 14300th block of Horizon Blvd, Officers responded to a complaint of theft. Officers conducted investigation and generated a report.

0445 In the area of Rodman & Desert Marigold, Officers responded to a personal safety & wellness check request on a person possibly involved in a domestic disturbance. Officers made contact and conducted investigation and determined that parties present were involved in a verbal dispute. Officers requested for parties involved to separate for the remainder of the night in order to cool down.

November 16: No Arrests

0706 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a low flying aircraft possibly landing in the area of the 14400th block of Golden Eagle.

0715 700th block of Katherine, Officers assisted first responders with a medical emergency.

0826 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received a request for a civil escort to the area of the 200th block of Crocker.

1001 14200th block Desert Breeze, Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance. Officers received information from the complainant but were unable to locate the person in the area.

1020 14100th block of Highweed, Officers assisted first responders with a medical emergency.

1639 In the area of Horizon Mesa & Paseo Del Este, Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

1801 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received a request for a civil escort to the area of the 13800th block of Hollywood.

1848 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a civil contention. Officers provided information.

1927 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a civil contention between former spouses. Officers provided information.

2012 14200th block of Desert Orchid, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers conducted investigation and determined the extent of the disturbance to be verbal in nature. Parties involved were asked to separate for the evening in order to cool down.

2051 14700th block of Summit Breeze, Officers received a complaint of a possible criminal trespass at a residence. Officers checked the residence and determined no trespass had taken place.

2116 Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Darrington Rd. Between Eastlake Blvd. and Horizon Blvd. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

2211 14300th block of Desert Cactus, Officers responded to a report of burglary in progress at a residence in the 14300th block of Desert Cactus. Officers checked the residence and observed no signs of ransacking. The home was secured, notice was left for homeowners.

2331 In the area of Antwerp & Nuevo Desierto, Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate a vehicle fitting description provided by complainant.

0407 14400th block of Horizon Blvd. Officers assisted EPCSO deputies with a roadside investigation resulting from a traffic stop.

November 15: No Arrests

0826 600th block of Villa Romero, Officers responded to a child who locked the parents outside the residence. Officers were able to gain entrance into the residence without further incident, the child was safe inside the home.

1012 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a report of criminal mischief at Golden Eagle Park.

1112 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a complaint of bullying occurring at a school campus. Officers coordinated a response to the allegation with the school resource officer posted at the campus.

1259 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a complaint of illegally parked vehicles in the area of Horizon View & Rifton. Officers will conduct follow up for parking enforcement.

1300 14200th block of Desert Point, Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance. A subject was knocking on doors and running away. Officers checked the area but were able to locate the person.

1405 At Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a civil contention.

1515 14000th block of Stoutland, Officers received information on a missing juvenile. Officers received leads on the possible location of the minor and were able to locate and return the minor to the parents.

1537 13600th block of Eastlake, Officers received a information on a person causing a disturbance.

1557 800th block of Darrington, Officers responded to a civil contention between family members. Officers provided the parties involved with information.
1611 14600th block of Desert Wildflower, Officers responded to a family disturbance. Officers conducted investigation and determined the extent of the disturbance was verbal in nature, Officers asked the parties involved to separate for the day in order to cool down.

0019 1600th block Howard Lowe, Officers responded to to a 911 hangup call. Officers investigated and determined no need for emergency intervention.

November 14: No Arrests

0616 14000th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a commercial alarm. During response, the alarm company requested to cancel.

0916 In the area of 3600th block of Clancey, Officers responded to a complaint of narcotics use in progress. Officers investigated and located a juvenile who was subsequently released to the parents.

0918 700th block of Puentecillas, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers conducted investigation and determined the extent of the incident was verbal in nature.

1448 Officers came across a person wanted for a criminal misdemeanor charge. Officers booked the person into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

1505 Officers responded to a complaint of a traffic hazard in the area of Eastlake & Darrington Rd., Officer was able to remove the object from the roadway.

1554 500th block of Cactus Crossing, Officers responded to a complaint of theft. Officers conducted investigation and generated a police report.

1618 Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle causing a disturbance in the area of Catham & Nunda. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the vehicle.

1831 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers met with a parent and child regarding bad behavior. Officers provided information.

1758 16000th block of Ashford St., Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers investigated and determined that a the juvenile involved could be potentially undergoing a mental/ emotional crisis and released the juvenile to the parents for follow up with the family counselor.

1955 14600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a request for a civil escort to the area of 14700th block of Summit Breeze. Officers assisted in keeping a peaceful encounter between two parties involved in a civil contention.

2350 14400th block of Desierto Bello, Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious person on a bicycle. Officers located the person matching description in the area of Corby and conducted a check of the person and determined that no laws were being broken.

0526 Officers responded to a complaint of shots fired in the area of Desert Wind and Desert Spring. As Officers checked the area a second call came in, this time in the neighborhood directly across (Rifton St). Officers searched the desert but were unable to locate shooters. (It should be noted that hunting is a routine activity in this desert area.)

November 13: One Arrest

0756 14700th block of Desert Breeze, Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog. Officers were able to contain the dog and held it at HCPD kennel awaiting pickup by county animal control services.

0810 In the area of Horizon Blvd. & N. Kenazo Ave., Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries. Officers investigated the collision and generated a CR-3 crash report.

0921 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a civil contention involving a homeowner and a contractor. Officers provided information.

0935 At the Horizon City PD headquarters received information on a hit and run crash occurred earlier in the day. The drivers involved in the collision came to a mutual agreement for restitution.

1217 13900th block of Horizon Blvd, officers received information possibly pertinent to an ongoing investigation.

1405 100th block of Barrel Cactus, Officers responded to a complaint of terroristic threat, Officers conducted investigation and determined the incident to be a civil dispute between two people.

1406 In the area of Glenosa & Roslyn Ln., Officers responded to a complaint of unlawful parking. Officers checked the area and determined the parking was lawful.

1406 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received questions on a civil contention. Officers provided information.

1444 14500th block of Puerto Del Carmen, Officers responded to a complaint of trespass in progress. Officers arrived and determined no trespass to be taking place.

1509 14300th block of Thayer Pease, Officers responded to a report of a person appearing injured. Officers conducted investigation and discovered an incident of family violence. Officers found probable cause to place a person involved in custody, charged with family violence assault. The person was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

1539 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on an allegation of assault.

1640 100th block of Crocker, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers found the residence secured, false alarm.

1755 Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Horizon Blvd. & Green Desert. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

2030 1700th block of Calhoun, Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle, Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

2037 13900th block of Horizon Blvd, Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog. Officers contained the dog and held it at HCPD kennel awaiting for pickup by county animal control services.

2110 14500th block of Desierto Lindo, Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

2130 1700th block of Oppossum, Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious person. Officers checked the area located a person matching description and found no illegal activity.

2342 14000th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of theft. Officers conducted investigation and generated a police report.

2345 While conducting residential patrol, Officers came across a suspicious vehicle in the area of the 14000th block of Mountain Breeze and conducted a check of the vehicle and occupants. Officers found no laws being broken.

November 12: No Arrests

0842 13900th block of Horizon Blvd. Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash with no injuries. Officers investigated the collision and generated a police report.

0946 Officers responded to a roadway hazard in the area of Darrington Rd. & Roslyn. Officers assisted in removing a stalled vehicle.

1113 400th block of Las Palomas, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers determined the extent of the dispute was verbal.

1235 Officers were notified that a stop sign had apparently been removed from the intersection of Villa Victoria & Antwerp. Officers notified the public works street maintenance department.

1257 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received a request for a civil escort.

1400 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the person.

1408 200th block of Duanesburg, Officers responded to a civil contention. Officers provided information.

1416 13600th block of Eastlake Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of all terrain vehicles driving on the road. Officers were unable to locate the vehicles. �
1439 600th block of Orchid, Officers responded to a complaint of criminal mischief, Officers provided information.

1514 200th block of Duanesburg, Officers generated a report for a complaint of criminal mischief.

1717 In the area of Desert Mist/ Desert Sage, Officers responded to a complaint of shots fired. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate shooters.

1729 14300th block of Desierto Bello, Officers resounded to a fire alarm. Officers found no structure fire and notified to the alarm provider.

1750 200th block of Sun View, Officers received a complaint of trespass. Officers received information.

1829 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance. Officers located the person and determined that they were stranded and needed transportation to Greyhound. Officers provided transportation to the bus terminal due to the extreme circumstance.

1842 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received a request for a civil escort to the area of Hollywood Dr.

1925 1400th block of Hartsdale, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers found the residence secured, False alarm.

2332 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers checked on what appeared to be a vehicle involved in a collision and learned the vehicle had lost control and collided with a dirt embankment. No injuries.

2346 700th block of Desert Sage, Officers responded to a noise complaint. Officers made contact with a homeowner and issued a warning.
