Horizon City Police Department’s Weekly Blotter: Week of November 19-26

As November begins to unwind, and Christmas comes into view, the men and women of the Horizon City Police Department continued their mission of keeping all residents of the High Desert safe and sound.

November 26: Report Pending

November 25: Two Arrests

0758 670th block of Danube, Officers assisted first responders with a medical emergency.

1101 14200th block of Desert Sunset, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation, Officers determined that the extent of the disturbance was verbal.

1259 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a motor vehicle crash which had occurred earlier during the day.

1501 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information regarding a dispute over child custody.

1621 Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Crocker & McMahon, Officers investigated the collision and generated a CR-3 report.

1527 During a traffic stop in the area of Horizon Blvd., Officers discovered drug paraphernalia in the possession of the driver. Officers released the driver with a Class C citation.

1653 Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of Horizon Blvd. & Crocker. Officers investigated the collision and generated a CR-3 crash report.

2020 During a traffic stop in the area of Darrington, Officers discovered drug paraphernalia in the possession of the driver. Officers released the driver with a Class C citation.

2102 Officers responded to a complaint of a traffic hazard in the area of Corby and Darrington Rd., Officers were able to remove the hazard from the roadway.

2110 Officers responded to a residential alarm at the 450th block of Mysic Desert. During response, Officers were cancelled by the alarm company.

2303 400th block of Desierto Verde, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers found the home secured. False alarm.

2220 14700th block of Summit Breeze, Officers responded to a complaint of noise disturbance. Officers met with the homeowner and requested for volume to be lowered.

2355 200th block of Desert Breeze, Officers responded to information in regards to a missing juvenile. The juvenile returned during the course of the night.

0151 14200th block of Thayer Pease, Officers checked on a person and determined probable cause to charge the person with public intoxication. The person was booked into El Paso County Detention Facility.

0349 Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle causing a disturbance in the area of the 13700th block of Eastlake. Officers located the vehicle and upon further investigation determined probable cause to arrest the driver for Driving While Intoxicated. The driver was booked into El Paso County Detention Facility.

November 24: One Arrest

0936 14600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of criminal trespass. Officers conducted investigation and issued citations.

1042 13600th block of Eastlake Blvd., Officers responded to a commercial alarm. Officers found an open door and checked the interior of the establishment. Officers did not find signs of break in and notified property management.

1046 14600th block of Horizon Blvd, Officers responded to a complaint of criminal trespass. Officers conducted investigation and issued citations.

1303 Officers assisted El Paso County Sheriff’s Office deputies with a motor vehicle crash with injuries in the area of Horizon Blvd, & Ascencion.

1405 Officers assisted HCFD with a brush fire at the 500th block of Desert Mesa.

1407 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a lost wallet.

1649 300th block of Crocker, Officers responded to a 911 hangup. Officers arrived to find two people involved in a civil contention. Officers provided information.

1740 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a report of a lost wallet at a commercial establishment. On their way to meet with the reporter, Officers received a request to cancel, presumably because the wallet was located.

1835 600th block of Desierto Bonito, Officers responded to a residential alarm, Officers found the residence secured, false alarm.

1936 13900th block fo Horizon Blvd., during a traffic stop, Officers discovered probable cause to charge the driver with Driving While Intoxicated. Officers booked the driver into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

2051 Eastlake & Darrington, Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically. Officers checked the area and found the vehicle had already left.

2347 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

0002 14200th block of Desert Mesquite, Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle causing a disturbance. Officers checked the area but were not able to locate the vehicle as described.

0222 During a traffic stop in the area of N. Darrington, Officers determined probable cause to charge the driver with a Class C Misdemeanor for driving with an open container of alcohol.

0026 14000th block of Horizon Blvd, Officers responded to a complaint of aggravated assault. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate any suspects or victim.

0509 14700th block of Desert Breeze, Officers responded to a complaint of criminal mischief. Officers conducted investigation and generated a police report.

November 23: No Arrests

1034 Officers responded to a minor motor vehicle accident in the area of S.Kenazo & Rudi Kuefner. Officers investigated the collision.

1247 14300th block of Horizon, Officers responded to a commercial alarm. Officers located a person inside the establishment but were able to confirm that the person was an employee. False alarm.

1304 During a traffic stop in the area of Horizon Blvd. & Breaux, Officers discovered information pertinent to an ongoing investigation of criminal mischief which occurred earlier during the week.

1531 14000th block of Highweed, Officers assisted first responders with a medical emergency.

1720 13900th block of Horizon Blvd, Officers responded to a complaint of criminal mischief. Officers conducted investigation and generated a police report.

1757 13900th block fo Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to two separate motor vehicle collisions in a shopping center during Thanksgiving Day sales. No injuries were reported to officers, CR-2 Crash Reports (Blue Forms) were issued by Officers.

2214 14300th block of Desierto Bonito, Officers responded to a complaint of loud music. Officers met with the homeowner and requested to lower the volume.

2229 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically in the area of S. Kenazo. Officers attempted to located the vehicle but determined the vehicle had already left the area.

0308 14300th block of Desert Sunset, Officers assisted first responders with a medical emergency.

During the course of the night, Officers conducted residential patrol and checked on the homes listed in our vacation watch list.

November 22: One Arrest

0903 Officers assisted HCFD containing a natural gas leak broken during construction in the area of Weaver & S.Kenazo Ave.

0913 13500th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers assisted a stranded motorist.

1150 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers obtained fingerprints at the request of a person needing them for identity verification purposes.

1543 14300th block of Desierto Bello, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Upon further investigation, Officers determined that the extent of the disturbance was verbal.

1601 Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance at the 100th block of N.Kenazo. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the person.

1625 Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance at the 13600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers located a person matching description and transported the person back to the Halfway House.

1755 Officers responded to an report of a burglary in progress at the 14700th block of Mountain Breeze. Upon investigation, Officers determined that no burglary or break in took place.

1721 1400th block of Apache Plume, Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

1854 600th block of Desierto Bueno, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the residence and found it secured. False alarm.

1900 Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Darrington Rd & Horizon Blvd. Officers checked the area and located the vehicle. Upon further investigation, Officers discovered probable cause to arrest the driver for Driving While Intoxicated. Officers booked the person into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

1931 14300th block of Desert Sage, Officers responded to a complaint of criminal mischief. Officers provided information.

2001 Officers responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically in the area of N. Darrington & Eastlake Blvd. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.

2112 14200th block of Desert Fire, Officers responded to a domestic disturbance. Officers determined the extent of the disturbance was verbal in nature.

2337 15300th block of Northbport, Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle. Officers checked the area and located vehicle matching description. Officers checked the vehicle and occupants and determined no laws were being broken.

2338 Officers responded to a complaint of a person in a vehicle causing a disturbance in the area of Horizon Blvd. & Breaux. Officers were requested to cancel response by complainant.

2355 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a motor vehicle crash occurred earlier during the day.

November 21: One Arrest

0605 14400th block of Desert Ocotillo, Officers responded to a person going through a personal mental/ emotional health crisis. Officers conducted an emergency detention for mental/ emotional health observation.

0954 900th block of Maravillas, Officers responded to a complaint of narcotics use in progress. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the activity.

1113 At Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a complaint of identity theft. Officers provided information.

1226 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of theft. Upon further investigation, Officers determined that no theft took place.

1234 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received additional information from the same complainant regarding the identity theft incident.

1404 400th block of Katherine, Officers responded to a complaint of a person causing a disturbance. Officers located the people and found that they had been involved in a verbal dispute.

1450 600th block of Villa Victoria, Officers responded to a civil contention. Officers provided information.

1513 Officers responded to a complaint of a traffic hazard in the area of Rudi Kuefner & Darrington Rd. Officers were able to removed the hazard from the roadway.

1756 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a commercial alarm. Officers found the establishment secured, false alarm.

1604 300th block of Darrington Rd., Officers conducted a check on a person and did not find any illegal activity.

1606 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on a complaint of theft.

1618 3000th block of Clancey, Officers attempted to locate a person wanted by HCPD, the person was located, arrested and booked into El Paso County Detention Facility.

1641 100th block of Lago Grande, Officers responded to a request for assistance.

1949 400th block of Cutler, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers found the home secured, false alarm.

2103 14500th block of Puerto Del Carmen, Officers responded to a fire alarm. HCFD inspected and determined, false alarm.

0113 During patrol Officers came across a vehicle pushing a wheelchair. Officers assisted the people with transporting the chair.

0549 Officers responded to a report of a brush fire in the area of Golden Eagle & Anderpont. The fire was extinguished by Horizon City FD. Upon further investigation, Officers discovered that a person was attempting to burn trash.

November 20: One Arrest

0806 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, officers received additional information on an ongoing investigation.

0930 200th block of Barrel Cactus, Officers responded to an injured person. Officers conducted investigation and determined probable cause to charge one person with Aggravated Assault With Deadly Weapon. The arrestee was booked into El Paso County Jail.

1012 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of a suspicious person in the area behind the Walmart. Officers checked the area and located the person matching the description, Officers found no illegal activity had taken place.

1156 13900th Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of theft. Officers conducted investigation and issued citation and released.

1216 14400th block of Thayer Pease, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers found the home secured, false alarm.

1325 At they Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a child custody dispute. Officers received information and generated a police report.

1435 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers responded to a complaint of Harassment. Officers provided information.

1405 800th block of Desert Moon, Officers responded to a child discipline complaint. Officers met with the parent and the child and provided information.

1505 140th block of Sahuaro, Officers responded to a complaint of criminal mischief. Officers conducted investigation and determined.

1518 Officers responded to a complaint of a loose dog in the area of Holden/ Kingston. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the animal.

1542 200th block of Darrington, Officers were flagged down with questions regarding a civil contention. Officers provided information.

1545 14400th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers assisted a stranded motorist.

1728 300th block of Peter Noyes, Officers responded to a personal safety/ wellness request. Officers checked the person and found no need for emergency intervention.

1744 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of theft. Officers investigated and generated a report.

1937 13600th block of Eastlake, Officers conducted a follow up on an ongoing investigation.

1946 15000th block of Darrington Rd., Officers responded to a city ordinance complaint and discovered a stolen trailer. Officers initiated investigation and generated a police report.

2041 14600th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of criminal mischief. Officers initiated investigation and generated a police report.

2312 Officers responded to a fight in progress, involving up to ten subjects in the area of Rifton & Desert Breeze. Officers checked the area and found that the subjects had already left the area.

 November 19: One Arrest

0822 14700th block of Paradise Breeze, Officers responded to a residential alarm. Officers checked the home and found it secured, false alarm.

0909 At the Horizon City PD headquarters, Officers received information on an allegation of family violence. Investigation revealed that the incident took place outside Horizon City limits, Officers referred the complainant to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

1027 13900th block of Horizon Blvd., Officers responded to a complaint of theft. Officers conducted investigation but ultimately the complainant did not wish to prosecute.

1356 Officers responded to a motor vehicle crash in the area of S. Kenazo & Darrington Rd. Officers investigated the collision and initiated a CR-3 crash report.

1357 Officers responded to a complaint of a person disturbing at the 13900th block of Horizon Blvd. Officers checked the area.

1434 14700th block of Summit Breeze, Officers responded to a complaint of Terroristic Threat. Officers provided information.

1503 Officers conducted a follow up on an ongoing investigation at the 14300th block of Thayer Pease. Officers received information.

1551 14400th block of Desert Ocotillo, Officers responded to a subject disturbance. Officers checked the area.

1608 Officers responded to a residential alarm at the 700th block of Teichelkamp. Officers found the residence secured, false alarm.

1615 500th block of Von Bargen, Officers received information on a vehicular collision which took place days before, Officers provided information.

1640 200th block of Duanesburg, Officers conducted follow up investigation on an ongoing case.
2235 14500th block of Golden Eagle, Officers assisted in locating a wanted person (passenger) during a traffic stop. During investigation Officers determined probable cause to charge the driver with Driving While Intoxicated. Officers arrested the two people and booked them into El Paso County Detention Facility.

0026 14200th block of Desierto Bueno, Officers responded to a complaint of Criminal Mischief and person causing a disturbance. Officers checked the area and provided information.
