Horizon City Police Department Blotter for July 9th through 15th

The second week of July started out with a very scary ‘shots fired’ call in the middle of one of our High Desert neighborhoods and ended with a huge downpour.

As always, the men and women of the Horizon City PD kept the order, made sure we were all safe, and got home safe and sound themselves.  Check out the HCPD’s exploits in this week’s blotter

July 15th: No Report

July 14th: One Arrest

A subject disturbance was reported near Horizon and Kenazo. The caller reported graffiti and one subject was at the scene. Officers arrived and met with both parties. A juvenile subject was released to a responsible party and a report will be generated for the damage caused to the property.

A domestic issue was reported near 200 Lago Grande. Units spoke with all subjects involved and determined the disturbance was verbal only and advised them accordingly.

Units responded to the area of 14000 Desert Fire in reference to fireworks. Officers checked the neighborhood and determined the area to be safe.

One subject was arrested following a traffic stop in the 13000 block of Eastlake. The subject was wanted by another agency. Officers arrested the subject and they were later booked into the downtown jail.

July 13th: No Arrests

A domestic issue was reported in the area of 14000 Alcon. Officers met with two subjects at this location and one person was escorted and released to a responsible party.

Units responded to a motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Roslyn and Darrington. Officers gathered information and first responders checked for injuries. Blue forms were issued and no patients were transported.

A concerned caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of Orchid. Officers searched the area but determined the vehicle was gone on arrival.

Officers were dispatched to a commercial alarm at Horizon Community Improvement at 14200 Horizon. Officers checked the building and surrounding areas and determined the call was in reference to a false alarm. The surrounding areas checked okay and were determined to be safe.

July 12th: No Arrests

Officers conducted a traffic stop at Glenosa and Rodman. Driver came back wanted by our agency, vehicle was followed to Horizon City Police Department to post bond. Subject posted bond and was released.

Officers were dispatched to a domestic verbal in the 300 block of Schoellkopf. Officers arrived to meet with both parties obtained information from both parties and cleared after parties were separated.

Officers rolled up to an unoccupied vehicle at the Golden Eagle Park after being on foot and checking the park, officer met with juveniles and advised them to leave the area.

Officer’s also patrolled different areas of Horizon City found several houses with open garage doors and advised homeowner to secure house to prevent any burglaries.

July 11th: No Arrests

An alarm call was reported in 13000 Eastlake. Officers arrived to location and checked the area, area checked okay was a false alarm.

Officers were requested in the neighborhood of Bryce and Katherine reference a civil issue. Officers spoke to involved parties and they were advised.

HCPD responded along with Horizon Fire Department and Life Ambulance to a medical call. After having patient stable patient was transported to the nearest medical center.

A Criminal Mischief call was reported in the area of Sahuaro and Cow Tongue. Officers arrived on scene and after obtaining necessary information a report was generated.

July 10th: No Report

July 9th: No Arrests

Police were called to 13921 Desert Song Dr. in Horizon City regarding a report of shots being fired in the area. Upon the officer’s arrival, it was discovered that multiple shots had been fired from in front of the house. One vehicle was struck as well as a garage door of another residence several houses down. Horizon City Investigators responded to the scene collecting the evidence and interviewing witnesses. There were no injuries reported.

A business alarm call was reported in the block of 100 S Darrington. Officers arrived to location and checked the area, area checked okay and was a false alarm.

A subject disturbance call was received out in the 13800 block of Horizon Blvd. Our officers went out to check the subject. Officers checked the subject and checked okay.

A 2nd call for a subject disturbance was received out in the 14000 block of Desierto Lindo Ave. Our officers were dispatched out to the location and verified that the subject check okay.

A business alarm call was received out in the 13900 block of Horizon Blvd. Our officers were dispatched out to the alarm and the officers met with the business manager. The area checked okay and was verified as a false alarm.
