New UIL Alignment Means Changes for Eastlake, Horizon

While we may be months away from High School football, February 1st is an important day in the State of Texas, as the University Interscholastic League (UIL) releases the new alignments for all high school sports.

Here in the High Desert, the realignment adds El Dorado to the mix of ‘big’ 5A schools, which includes Eastlake.  For their cross-town rivals Horizon, the division continues the traditional games against YISD schools, as well as a mix of the new 2-5A2 schools.

In 1-4A, the division continues to pit Mountain View against valley schools Clint, Fabens and San Eli.
