El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest one after Agua Dulce area aggravated assault

Friday morning, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office officials announced the arrest of a man after an alleged aggravated assault in the Agua Dulce neighborhood on Thursday.

According to the EPCSO, Deputies and detectives assigned to Peter J. Herrera Patrol Station in Clint responded to the area of Kentwood Avenue and Ascencion Street, just northeast of Horizon City, in reference to an Aggravated Assault.

Upon arrival, deputies and detectives received information that 37-year-old Oscar David Rangel, had allegedly shot at another individual and fled into the desert area.

After a short time officials say that deputies found Rangel, along with a gun hidden in his vehicle.

EPCSO officials say Rangel was taken into custody without incident and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and an additional outstanding warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
