EPCSO: Escaped sex offender captured in El Paso

According to EPCSO officials , on April 5, 2020, Rodarte was taken into custody on the 900 block of Myrtle by the El Paso Police Department and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

Friday afternoon, officials with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office released information regarding yet another sex offender failing to return to the halfway houses, located south of Horizon City, across from the Sparks neighborhood.

According to EPCSO, on Thursday, April 2, 2020, Eric Rodarte was transported to Horizon Providence Hospital but never returned to the facility and his whereabouts are now unknown.

Rodarte’s last location – according to his GPS monitor – was the 100 block of Vaquero Lane, in West El Paso.

EPCSO officials say Rodarte’s  sex offense is for Indecency with a Child/Contact, the victim being a 12-year-old female and is on parole for said offense.  He is now wanted on a Parole Violation and an additional charge of Sex Offenders Duty to Register is forthcoming.
