After nearly two years, Teachers Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is headed back to the High Desert.
The local financial institution will take up residence along Horizon’s Restaurant Row, just across the street from Walmart and Peter Piper Pizza and right next to the Briarwood Townhomes at 13781 Horizon Boulevard.
TFCU’s previous location was attached to Horizon High School, as part of a partnership with Clint ISD. That branch closed two years ago when the district began renovations of the HHS campus.
Officials with TFCU will host a groundbreaking ceremony for their newest site on Thursday, May 17th.
There is no word yet as to when the branch will officially open.
In addition to the new bank branch, sources tell HorizonCity.com that an unnamed ‘drive up/thru’ restaurant and one other new restaurant will be announcing their intent to build in Horizon, between the Walmart gas station and Summit Injection Molding on Darrington Road.
