Unknown Vandals Damage Scores of Horizon City Vehicles with Spray Paint

It was an unfortunately busy weekend for some residents and Horizon City Police Officers, as vandals spray painted lewd images on scores of vehicles across the High Desert.

The incidents took place late Saturday night and into the early hours of Sunday morning, with an unknown number of vehicles damaged with spray paint.  Reports of the damage spanned the entire area, both in and out of Horizon City limits.

One resident said his neighbor’s brand-new Chevy Suburban had been damaged so severely, it had to be towed to a local shop to remove the spray-painted damage. Others visited the local auto parts stores to purchase graffiti removal spray, to remove the paint from the windows of the vehicles, so they could simply drive around.

Both HCPD officers and some El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputies were notified of the damage once daylight arrived on Sunday.

According to HCPD dispatchers, their officers and the deputies spent the better part of the morning taking statements and issuing case numbers.

There has been no official word on the vandalism spree from either law enforcement agency, however HorizonCity.com will contact both entities during regular business hours on Monday for an update.

  1. It would be nice if Horizon’s PD would conduct patrols. I used to see them all the time cruising the surface streets, but no more. Crime would reduce if their presence is known and expected.
