Video+Story: HCPD Searching for Dollar General Armed Robber

Horizon City Police are searching for a man who held up the Dollar General story at knifepoint Monday night.

According to HCPD officials, on the night of Monday, August 13, 2018, at 9:56 p.m., a man walked into the Dollar General store located at 14840 Horizon Boulevard in Horizon City. The man was armed with a knife and demanded money from a clerk at the business.

The suspect threatened the cashier at knifepoint along with another employee at the business. The suspect managed to take an undisclosed amount of money from the store.

Police say the man is described as a Hispanic male, medium build, goatee between 5’5” to 5’10” in height, and was wearing khaki cargo shorts, a black long sleeve t-shirt with unknown white in color lettering on the sleeves and Nike Tennis Shoes. The suspect is also seen carrying a dark blue backpack.

The suspect was not wearing anything to cover his identity. Witnesses observed the suspect running westbound down Horizon Boulevard possibly into the nearby desert area.

HCPD officials add that there were no injuries reported by the store employees.
